Scaling Impact through Peer to Peer Networks in South and Southeast Asia

Unboxing Sustainability: Striking a Balance for the Planet, People and Profit

With increased incomes, urbanization, and expanding digital public infrastructure, consumption trends are shifting for many Indians. Behind the coordinated algorithms providing a seamless experience lies a real environmental and human cost. The rising demand for natural resources and materials due to digital penetration has intensified climate challenges, exposing communities to risks such as heat stress, poor air quality, and workplace insecurity. This panel explores how social innovation tackles these issues through fair labor practices, design-led recycling solutions, and skill development. Join us to uncover strategies for driving sustainable growth in the digital age.

05:00 - 05:45 PM (IST)

Balancing the Scale: Allyship as a Strategic Tool for Gender Equitable Leadership

Despite progress, gender equity in leadership remains a persistent challenge. In India, women make up 28.7% of the workforce at the entry level, but their representation drops to 18.6% at managerial levels and just 15.3% at the C-suite. This stark decline highlights systemic barriers that hinder women’s advancement to senior leadership roles.

Allyship is a critical strategy for closing these gaps. This session will explore the role of both male allies and women supporting women in advancing gender equity. Male allyship can challenge biases, drive cultural shifts, and open doors through advocacy, mentorship, and sponsorship. Equally, the solidarity and support of women—whether as mentors, collaborators, or advocates—can create powerful networks that accelerate progress and dismantle systemic barriers.

08:00 - 09:00 PM (IST)
